How ownership actually transfers.

This is the part most marketplaces keep vague. We publish it in full — including the bits that are slower or more awkward than a sales page would like to admit.

  1. 01

    Pre-transfer checks

    • We re-pull the channel’s policy record to confirm no new strikes since verification.
    • Buyer creates (or nominates) a clean Google account with 2-Step Verification already enabled.
    • Buyer sets up their own AdSense account, or confirms an existing one is in good standing.
    • Seller confirms the channel is a Brand Account — if it is not, we convert it first.
  2. 02

    Brand Account conversion

    • A channel tied directly to a personal Google account cannot be handed over cleanly.
    • We move the channel to a Brand Account, which supports multiple owners and managers.
    • This step is invisible to viewers — subscribers, videos and analytics are unaffected.
    • If the channel is already a Brand Account, we skip straight to the next phase.
  3. 03

    Adding the buyer as owner

    • Seller invites the buyer’s Google account as a Manager on the Brand Account.
    • Google enforces a waiting period before a Manager can be promoted to Owner — usually 7 days. We plan for it rather than pretending it does not exist.
    • After the waiting period, the buyer is promoted to Primary Owner.
    • Seller removes themselves from all roles. We verify the access list is clean.
  4. 04

    AdSense relinking

    • The seller’s AdSense account does not transfer — Google prohibits it.
    • Seller unlinks their AdSense from the channel.
    • Buyer links their own AdSense account in YouTube Studio.
    • Monetisation status stays with the channel. Payments simply route to the buyer from the next threshold.
  5. 05

    Handover and confirmation

    • Buyer logs in independently and confirms full control with no seller access remaining.
    • Buyer checks that subscriber count, video library and analytics match the listing.
    • Escrow releases funds to the seller.
    • Seven-day support window opens — we stay reachable for anything that surfaces.

Red flags, wherever you buy

These apply whether you buy from us or from anyone else. If a seller or marketplace does any of the following, stop.

Do not accept an AdSense account handover

If a seller offers to "give you their AdSense login", walk away. It violates Google’s terms, the account can be terminated, and you have no recourse. Every legitimate transfer relinks the buyer’s own AdSense.

Do not pay before the ownership waiting period is understood

Google’s 7-day Manager-to-Owner delay is real and cannot be skipped. Anyone promising a full ownership transfer "in 24 hours" is either misdescribing the process or planning to just hand you a password.

A shared password is not ownership

If the seller keeps their Google account and simply shares credentials, they can reclaim the channel at any time and you have no legal or technical standing. Ownership means the channel sits in an account only you control.

Check for a monetisation rejection history

A channel that has been rejected for monetisation multiple times can be much harder to get approved, even after you fix the content. We disclose the application history on every review-ready listing.
